I have been helping out local coach Eric Hodska for years at his tri camps. It is always a good time, great training and absolutely has some drama or adventure mixed in. I wanted to capture the feeling of a camp in a video for Eric. And this year used my Contour HD helmet camera and my other cameras to record the event. I love the trail running section near the end. I was just trying to keep the camera level and pointing straight. Super views of 4 states on a perfect day!
We were lucky to have pro photographers Holly and Mark Junak conical last year's French Alps Camp. They were capturing our visit for Chalet Merlo (our lodging). Anyway I never saw any of the video footage and recently ashed Holly if I could get the raw footage to make a video to promote this year's camp.
Big thanks to Holly, she sent it to me and I was able to throw something together. I love the video as it captures the essence of riding there, you can hear the birds and the waterfalls and get a sense of the beauty and vastness of the space.

Talented local photographer Chris Ware created this excellent short video that features Scott Feltmate (Bethel Cycle Sales Manager). Great video!
We really ride and race and this video contains some action from the 2010 season.
This video gives you a sense of riding up a Cat 1 TDF climb as well as our awesome setting for the Bethel Cycle French Alps Camp.
In New England we put up with quite a bit to train all winter, even some aggressive drivers who feel the need to brush you back on a fast descent! My buddy Justin Tyberg made this video with his helmet cam that really captured the essence of this wet, windy, cold, dark 4 hour ride complete with snow squalls. Check out the power and speed data in the lower left corner.
During the 2009 Tour de France Trek had a really annoying commercial where Levi and Contidor were saying "Ride My Bike". Well we had to make a spoof on it...
We have been racing in Bethel for something like 18 years, so our town - shop - club is steeped in cycling tradition. We race in the same Industrial Park where Cannondale is headquartered, only a mile from our shop. The races start with the infamous "Spring Series", yet it rarely is spring like when we start. This video captured the Masters Race on 3/08/09.
